Hey I was curious I just recently purchased a 2014 chrysler 300 with 3.6L engine. It had a message pop up on dash saying “Battery Save mode”. I tested battery the other day and it failed the test. I bought a new battery and the next day I went to go get alternator tested and it said excessive ripple 65mv. Im thinking alternator is bad or goin bad. I have never had this issue before. Is there anything you know of this situation?
I wish I had watched this BEFORE my alternator went out
I changed the voltage regulator, carbon contacts brushes and the diode plate ,my alternator worked perfectly. Thanks.
What a gauge that is going up and down – from 14 volts to about 10 battery in new and alternator is new
