Replaced the front brake pads and rotors on my Ford F150 2018 XLT model. The pads are free after only removing 2 screws to get off the caliper. Then there are 2 more screws to release the bracket so you can access the rotor. The bracket screws are usually a little tough to get off since they will have some rust. The rotor is almost always tough to remove since it gets rusted to the shoulder. Be careful to have strong enough jack and jack stands for a truck. Also be aware of rear wheel drive to avoid rolling. Not a mechanic but I can do a few simple things with my truck.
Power Stop K3167-36 Z36 F-150 Front Brake and Rotors kit:
DOT 4 Brake Fluid.
3 Ton Jack.
3 Ton Jack Stands.
Brake Cleaner.
Brake Caliper Grease.
good video but you should have cleaned and greased the bracket bolts and check the boots for no tear also.
You might want to note that the inside and outside pads are definitely different, and will cause damage if not installed properly.
Ford puts a stainless steel cover on the solid steel nuts it’s always a problem
Brakes for pads your not opening the system open the cap for pressure into reservoir not the opposite
Thanks! I see your friends in the comments also providing some great tips. Well done.
